Biography

Dr. Lee received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a focus on transportation planning and economics from the University of Virginia. He has extensive practical and research experience in smart transportation solutions, transportation planning and economics, and policy development. Dr. Lee is particularly interested in applying big data analytics and machine learning techniques to enhance transportation planning and policy development. His work integrates sustainable transportation practices with cutting-edge technological innovations to address climate change and contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In addition, Dr. Lee is committed to exploring the role of transportation Official Development Assistance (ODA) and global cooperation in advancing sustainable development. He focuses on how international collaboration can support the SDGs, particularly those related to sustainable cities, climate action, and affordable, clean energy, all within the context of sustainable transportation. His research emphasizes the need for resilient transportation systems in developing countries and how global cooperation can mitigate climate change impacts, improve access to mobility, and foster sustainable social and economic growth worldwide.
