Biography

Yoon Koo Lee is currently an associate professor at the Cho Chun Shik Graduate School of Mobility at KAIST. Prior to this position, he served as an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Hanbat National University. He also gained valuable industry experience as a Battery Research Engineer at LG Chem for a period of 5 years.

Dr. Lee holds a Master’s and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan. His academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Seoul National University.

Throughout his career, Dr. Lee has been dedicated to multi-scale, multi-physics battery research spanning from electrode and cell levels to modules, packs, and system integration. His approach combines experimental methods with simulation techniques to advance the understanding and development of safe and high-performance energy mobility systems.

Biography
