The AI Plus K-Construction Infrastructure Resilience (AI+KCIR) Global Research Center has been established at Sungkyunkwan University.

This 7-year project, running from July 2025 to June 2032 with a total research budget of ₩14 billion(USD 10 million), involves three distinct research groups. KAIST will be contributing as part of the third group, focusing on [Advanced mobility/EAP-linked disaster response and a virtual environment user mobility platform].

Our research at KAIST will specifically cover:
1. Development of hybrid mobility systems (small-scale mobility, drones) for accident diagnosis and FMS decision-making, along with autonomous driving and remote operation technologies for recovery vehicles.
2. Dynamic crowd simulation development to establish rapid and safe evacuation strategies for disaster management.
3. Construction of land transportation operation and management systems for disaster response.

Our team at KAIST includes Jang Kitae, Tiantian CHEN, and Inhi Kim. We’ll also be collaborating with international partners Majid Sarvi and Meead Saberi on this significant endeavor.
