1940 Born in Buyeo, Chungcheongnam-do, Korea
1962 Selected for the Korean National Art Exhibition
1963 Graduated from the Department of Painting, College of Fine Arts, Seoul National University
1965 Received the Grand Prize at the 1st Korean Minjeon Art Exhibition
1967 Graduated from the Graduate School of Fine Arts, Seoul National University
1969–1976 Studied at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland, and the Catholic University of Paris
1973 Beginning with his solo exhibition at Galerie Jean Fournier in Paris in 1973, held over 200 exhibitions across Europe, the United States, Japan, and other countries
1974 Ordained as a priest of the Dominican Order
1975 Moved to Paris
Major Achievements
2022 Invited Distinguished Professor at KAIST, Korea
2021 Selected by Switzerland’s Le Matin as one of the world’s top 10 stained glass artists
2019 Opened in Ambert, France
2018 Permanent exhibition hall for In-Joong Kim opened at the Jean Prouvé Museum in Issoire, France
2016 Elected as a member of the Catholic Academy of France
2010 Awarded the Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French Government
