- Title: Development of High-Reliability Mobility Safety Systems via Virtual Human Body Modeling
- Date & Time: April 2 (Thursday), 4:00 PM–5:30 PM
- Venue: Room L409
- Abstract: This presentation introduces a high-reliability design method for next-generation mobility crash safety by leveraging high-biofidelity virtual human body models (HBMs). To address the significant computational costs of HBM-based simulations, we integrate surrogate-based optimization and sensitivity analysis, which rigorously accounts for prediction uncertainties and occupant variability. This probabilistic approach ensures robust occupant protection by combining anatomical precision with efficient, reliable design optimization beyond traditional deterministic methods.
