IMPACTs Laboratory will host an online research seminar featuring Prof. Shenhao Wang from the University of Florida on the topic of “Artificial Intelligence for Travel Demand Modeling.”
In this seminar, Prof. Wang will present recent research on integrating artificial intelligence with traditional travel demand modeling approaches. The talk will introduce studies on benchmarking machine learning and discrete choice models, deep hybrid models combining survey data with satellite imagery, and graph neural network-based choice models for capturing spatial relationships in mobility systems. The seminar will provide insights into the future direction of AI-driven travel demand modeling with improved prediction capability and interpretability.
