Chungcheongnam-do Province has presented Professor Ki Tae Jang, Director of the KAIST Mobility Research Institute, with the Governor’s Commendation for Contributions to the Development of the Chungcheongnam-do Future Mobility Industry. The award recognizes his contributions to building the regional mobility ecosystem, including research on core future-mobility technologies and the establishment of foundations for real-world demonstration and validation.
Professor Jang has led cutting-edge future mobility research centered on the KAIST Mobility Research Institute in Naepo New Town, while also helping to develop the institute as a hub that drives technology commercialization and broader industrial adoption. In addition, he has strengthened the regional future mobility industry base by promoting industry–academia–research collaboration and supporting startup and venture ecosystems.
